Perhaps the most famous mountain range is the Alps with the highest peak of the Swiss Alps being Dufourspitze at just over 4,600 metres. However one of the most famous peaks is the Matterhorn, 4,478 metres, which has much literary and film comment. The Jura Mountains are also partly in Switzerland along the northwestern border with France.

With so many mountains it is hardly surprising then that there are also many plunging valleys to and also the source for many rivers such as the Rhine and the Rhone. There are also plenty of lakes with the most famous being Lake Geneva and Lake Zurich.

The will be so much to do on your Swiss holiday rental getaway. The climate is conducive to holidaying all year round. In the summer months the wonderful, clear air and beautiful scenery makes Switzerland ideal for many outdoor interests from sailing to hiking, through many differing vistas.
